Jade is a Registered Acupuncturist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Chinese Medicine Regulation Board (CMRB), and a member of ANTA (Australian Natural Therapists Association).

Jade is an Acupuncturist with experience and an interest in the treatment of psycho – emotional disorders, including anxiety and depressive disorders with Chinese Medicine, which has a depth and capacity to treat mood disorders complementary and equal to their treatment with western psychotherapies.

Acupuncture has been extensively used many countries for the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and associated emotional and physical disturbances. Extensive studies on the efficiency of Chinese Medicine in the treatment of many health conditions have proven that acupuncture and Chinese herbs have equal and sometimes greater efficiency than standard care for many of these conditions, including counselling and some psychological interventions.

In particular, aspects of mental health responding well to Acupuncture include, but are not limited to:

  • Anxiety – heart palpitations and panic attacks
  • Depression
  • PTSD
  • Shock, trauma and grief
  • Digestive disturbances, including lack of appetite, nausea and bloating
  • Stress reduction
  • Mood and emotional imbalances
  • Insomnia and sleep disturbance
  • Fatigue and exhaustion
  • Chronic health conditions with associated pain

Jade advocates the use of education and empowerment as tools to help people make small changes that can result in long term benefits. Time is taken to explain how the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine can easily be incorporated into your everyday life. Understanding your body in a way that makes sense to you is the most important element in maintaining health and well being, while preventing illness.
